The Seven Archangels

The Seven Archangels and their influence on the End of the World.

There is a species in Heaven that act as God's emissaries. These messengers of God are known as angels, they are intelligently active and can be manifested to mankind. Angels are celestial beings that are of the creation before the world began and are revealed to many here on earth.  They are sent to announce, to guard and instruct, to warn, to minister and to carry out God's judgment. Archangels end with the "el" suffix. "El" meaning "in God" and the first half of the name meaning what each individual Angel specializes in.

Angels are revealed especially to us in John's revelation. The angels of the historical churches are revealed in the Seven Churches of Asia. An angel with a strong voice asked, "Who is worthy to open the book and to loose the seals thereof?" The only One found worthy to open the book was the Lamb who had been slain and "He had seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God, sent forth into all the earth." The Archangels, The seven angels that stood before God in Revelations are considered to be the Archangels. Although it is agreed that there were seven Archangels, there has been some debate on who the seven were. This website recognizes that there are many Archangels, however, after much research...we've chosen to list the seven 'End of the World' Archangels as: Gabriel, Michael, Ariel, Raphael, Remiel, Raguel and Uriel.

GABRIEL
"Strength of God"

The only Archangel depicted as female in art and literature, Gabriel is known as the "messenger" Angel and is one of the four Archangels named in Hebrew tradition and is considered one of the two highest-ranking Angels in Judeo-Christian and Islamic religious lore. Apart from Michael, she is the only Angel mentioned by name in the Old Testament. She is a powerful and strong Archangel, and those who call upon her will find themselves pushed into action that leads to beneficial results.

Within all of the legends of birthing, Gabriel as been accredited as the angel who selects souls from heaven to be birthed into the material world and spends the nine months as the child is being developed informing the new person of what he or she will need to know on Earth, only to silence the child before birth by pressing his finger onto the child's lips, thus producing the cleft below a person's nose.

The only Archangel depicted as female in art and literature, Gabriel is known as the "messenger" Angel.

Gabriel is also the angel who came before Daniel and told him of the future as well as the angel responsible for strengthening Christ prior to the Crucifixion. Finally, not being all pregnancies and wisdom, he is told as the angel who struck down the cities of Sodom and Gommorah as well as other places of sin throughout the Old Testament although he is never named there as such.

The Archangel Gabriel is associated with the 1st sign "Prophet".

MICHAEL
"Who is like the Divine"

The first Angel created by God, Michael is the leader of all the Archangels and is in charge of protection, courage, strength, truth and integrity. Michael protects us physically, emotionally and psychically. He also oversees the lightworker's life purpose. His chief function is to rid the earth and its inhabitants of the toxins associated with fear. Michael carries a flaming sword that he uses to cut through etheric cords and protects us from Satan and negative entities. When he's around you may see sparkles or flashes of bright blue or purple light. Michael conquered the fallen Angel Satan

As so, the name was said to have been the battle cry of the angels in the war in heaven against Satan and his followers, defying them through the very question of the nature of the Lord that those fallen ones were by themselves led to dismiss.

Michael also has been associated with healing in other cases, as well as his primary role as leader of the Church Militant. He has been said to appear to Emperor Constantine the Great (d. 337) at Constantinople, to have intervened in assorted battles, and appeared, sword in hand, over the mausoleum of Hadrian, in apparent answer to the prayers of Pope St. Gregory I the Great (r. 590-604) that a plague in Rome should cease.

The Archangel Michael is associated with the 2nd Sign "War".

 ARIEL 
"Angel of the waters of the Earth"

Ariel is generally presented as an angel with authority over the elements, or else the Earth itself. In Thomas Heywood, Hierarchy of the Blessed Angels, Ariel is called both a prince who rules the waters and "Earth's great Lord." In Hebrew name "Ariel" means literally "Altar" or "Lion of God." Historically, the entity Ariel was often pictured in mysticism as a lion-headed deity or demon with power over the Earth. In mysticism, especially modern, Ariel is usually conjured as a governing angel with dominion over the Earth, creative forces, the North, elemental spirits, and beasts.Lion of God

Ariel has been portrayed as a destructive spirit of retribution. In the Coptic Pistis Sophia, Ariel is in charge of punishment in the lower world. Generally presented as an authority over the Earth and its elements, Ariel has also been called an angel of healing, wrath & creation. However, Ariel's position as a spirit of wrath seems to be more in keeping with Judeo-Christian tradition of heavenly servitude. Ariel is usually depicted as a controller and punisher of demons or wicked spirits rather than a general retributive force. [Rf. The Testament of Solomon].
Wielder of Fire

Ariel is generally regarded as originally of the order of Virtues or Archangels in the Hierarchy of angels. As one of the Archangels, Ariel is regarded as having a high position in the hierarchy, with attachments to several orders/choirs. Ariel is called one of the seven Angels of Presence.

The Archangel Ariel is associated with the 3th sign "Famine".

RAPHAEL
"Healing power of God"

Hebrew word rapha means "doctor" or "healer". Raphael is a powerful healer and assists with all forms of healing - humans and animals. He helps to rapidly heal body, mind and spirit if called upon, as in the biblical story of Abraham and the pain he felt after being circumcised as an adult. The chummiest and funniest of all Angels, Raphael is often pictured chatting merrily with mortal beings. He's very sweet, loving, kind and gentle and you know that he's around when you see sparkles or flashes of green light. Raphael eases the pain of Abraham after his circumcision, and healing Jacob's thigh after Jacob wrestles with another angel.

Raphael is one of the seven archangels and one of the best loved of all angels. Raphael is honored as the regent of the sun, the angel of healing, the angel of science, the angel of knowledge, head of the guardian angels, and chief of the angelic orders of virtues, although he is also a member of the seraphim, the dominations, and the cherubim.

Raphael ("God has healed" or 'the shining one who heals"): Although a seraph, Raphael is also mentioned as being a member of the cherubim, dominations and powers. He has be attributed as the chief of virtues, although that ranking has also been given to Michael, and also can be considered head of the guardian angels. His most notable appearance in scripture is his guiding of young Tobias in the apocryphal book of Tobit where he teaches the lad about medicine and demon exorcising among other things.

The Archangel is associated with the 4th sign "Plague".

REMIEL
"Lord of Souls awaiting resurrection"

This Archangel is 'over those who rise' and bring souls to judgment. Remiel, also known as Jeremiel, meaning "God Raises Up"...accordingly this is the Angel in charge of souls on their way to heaven. With his prophetic visions it is also said that he took Baruch on a tour of the different levels of Heaven. The coming of the Messiah was one of Remiel's visions.

Remiel is the Angel of Hope and is accredited with two tasks. First, he is the angel responsible for true divine visions, and is said to be the angel to give such a vision to Baruch before destroying Baruch's enemies, the armies of Sennacherib. Beyond that, he is also the guide for the souls of the faithful, leading them into Heaven after Michael weighs them at the last trumpet. Although not mentioned specifically as such, such a role would lead to the assumption that Ramiel is a power. He is credited with the destruction of the armies of Sennacherib, being the carrier of the instructions of the "Seven Archangels", and the one who presides over "true vision". He was the leader of the Apostates and one of the fallen angels.

In ancient Judaic texts, Jeremiel is listed as one of the seven core Archangels, his name meaning "mercy of God" or "whom God sets up". He is credited with helping Baruch, a prolific author of apocryphal Judaic texts in the first century A.D., with his prophetic visions. It is also said that he took Baruch on a tour of the different levels of Heaven. The coming of the Messiah was one of Jeremiel's visions.

The Archangel Remiel is associated with the 5th sign "Judgement".

RAGUEL
"Friend of God"

Referred to as the Archangel of Justice and Fairness, Raguel oversees all the other Archangels and Angels. One of the 7 Archangels listed in the Enoch writings. This angel can also be attributed to the sixth angel (Rev 9:14). Raguel watches over other angels to make sure they are working well together with mortals in a harmonious and orderly fashion according to Divine order and will. He 'takes vengeance on the world of luminaries," which is interpreted to mean that, for cause, he brings other angels to account.

In the Revelation of John, Raguel is referred to as an assistant to God in the following account: "Then shall He send the Angel Raguel, saying: Go and sound the trumpet for the Angels of cold and snow and ice, and bring together every kind of wrath upon them that stand on the left." Raguel defends the unfairly treated, and provides support with mediation of disputes.

Raguel is one of the seven archangels whose function is to take vengeance on the world of the luminaries who have transgressed God's laws. Raguel brings a course of fire which persecutes all the fallen luminaries. Raguel also shows Enoch The Seven Mountains and in the midst of it- the high mountain which is the throne of God where the Lord of Glory will sit along with the tree of wisdom. Raguel is found in the Revelation of John as the angel of the church in Philadelphia.

Raguel is associated with the 6th sign "Chaos".

URIEL
"God's light"

Uriel is considered one of the wisest Archangels because of his intellectual information, practical solutions and creative insight, but he is very subtle because he has a vibration that few humans truly understand. He also brought the knowledge and practice of alchemy and the ability to manifest from thin air, as well as illuminates situations and gives prophetic information and warnings. Uriel is sometimes described as the Archangel of Salvation

It is through Noah's devotion and Love of God that Uriel is able to warn him of the flood. If Noah had been unable to express divine love and devotion to God, he would have been unable to hear Uriel's warning. This is how another attribute associated with Uriel has arisen, the attribute of Divine Vengeance and Judgement. Only if the heart is ignited in devotion to God can one hear God's calling. Without God's guides and messages, one cannot find the Eternal Light. Uriel is said to have been the interpreter of Ezra's visions which also explains why Uriel means "God is the radiating principle of Light." Uriel is often known as the angel of repentance

Uriel is most well known for his role as Regent of the Sun in the book of Revelation where he calls forth the birds of the air to feast upon the fallen.

All this considered, Uriel's area of expertise is divine magic, problem solving, spiritual understanding, studies, alchemy, weather, earth changes and writing. Considered to be the Archangel who helps with earthquakes, floods, fires, hurricanes, tornadoes, natural disaster and earth changes, call on Uriel to avert such events or to heal and recover in their aftermath.

The Archangel Uriel is associated with the 7th sign "Rebirth".
