Seven 2012 Prophecies and Prophets
Seven Prophecies that have predicted that the world will end in the year 2012
There have been seven prophecies from different cultures in seven places on earth unrelated to each other in different eras before the dawn of technology that have coincidentally predicted that the world will end or experience a kind of re-birth in the year 2012.
Though there have been countless "End of the World" prophecies in human history...we will concentrate on only those that actually site the year 2012 as the the last year on Earth. Many Prophets have made predictions citing that we will experience unprecedented, cataclysmic disasters ranging from massive earthquakes and tsunamis, plagues, famine to nuclear reactor meltdowns on the end of life or judgement day. Yet ony a few...counting 7, have predicted the date the world ends as being on or near December 21, 2012. These theorists believe that on December 21, 2012, the Earth will either be completely destroyed or experience some kind of renewal or re-birth. These are: The Sybil, The Mayans, The I-Ching, The Bible Code, Nostradamus, Advancements in Technology and Scientific Discoveries. Noting that many of the past predictions have only been clarified through recent advancements in technology such as computer algorithms and recent discoveries.
The Sybil
The Sybil was an Oracle of Delphi who consulted heads of state, leaders and generals. The Sybil wrote her messages on oak leaves that were later transferred to scrolls and housed in the Temple of Jupiter. During the 6th century, the roman oracle who predicted Constantine by name also predicted the world would last for 9 generations of 100 years each, the last starting in the year 2000.
Quote:"The earth shall be shaken by a great earthquake that throws many cities into the sea. There shall be war. Fires shall come flashing forth from the heavens and many cities burn." - This is what The Sybil stated in her fourth volume of predictions.
She stated that the 10th generation, beginning in the year 2000, would be destroyed by war and natural disaster. She also predicted the coming of a child who would be born to welcome a Golden age. Many took this to be a foretelling of Jesus' birth which earned her a place in the Sistine Chapel. During that same period, the Sibyl proposed a time span for mankind comprised of nine generations of 800 years each, ending with the tenth.
The Mayans
The Mayans believed that the galaxy follows a respiration cycle that never changes; what changes is the conscience of the man who goes by them in a process towards perfection. They were certain that their civilization was the fifth illumination of the sun, and that before this one four other civilizations had already existed on earth that were destroyed by great natural disasters. They believed that each civilization is a step towards the growth of the collective conscience of humanity.
The Mayans predicted that the sun will change its polarization on the 22nd day of December in the year 2012, after receiving a synchronizing ray coming from the center of the galaxy, a ray that will originate a gigantic radiant flaming that will bring the destruction of the planet through cataclysm. This way a new era will begin; the sixth solar cycle. They also said that the sun is a living being that breathes and that every so often it synchronizes with the huge organism that exists, and that after receiving the light beam from the center of the galaxy it will shine with great intensity, producing on its surface what scientists have defined as solar eruptions and magnetic changes.
They point out that this happens every 26,000 years; that the Earth is affected by a cycle of our Sun orbiting Alcyone, the central star of the 7 Sisters Pleiades constellation causing a galactic alignment. According to the Maya, the "future" which lies beyond this end date is literally "a new world age" - "a new creation." In the codices of the 7 prophecies, they recommend that humanity be ready cross the door that they have left behind and will transform the actual civilization based on fear into a harmony vibe. It is a door that can only be crossed individually. The Mayans don't talk about the end of the world, but of a process of transformation where all that remains is the spirit, on its journey of evolution towards higher levels.
I Ching
The I Ching, or Book of Changes, is the world's oldest known book and earliest intuitive decision-making system of any complexity. It is traditionally consulted by tossing coins or yarrow stalks. The way the coins fall corresponds to one of 64 patterns of change derived from the profound wisdom of the ever-changing dynamics of the yin and yang principles.
I Ching readings have been used by Chinese sages and emperors for centuries, long before the time of Confucius, who added to the I Ching's interpretative text almost 3000 years ago. According to Ethnobotanists and fractal time experts Terrence and Dennis McKenna the date December 22, 2012 is the End of the I Ching and possibly the world...
Their studies began with the I Ching, which is composed of 64 hexagrams, or six-line figures. It struck them that 6 x 64 = 384, which is exceptionally close to the number of days in 13 lunar months (29.5306 x 13 = 383.8978), and that maybe the I Ching was originally an ancient Chinese calendar. The McKenna brothers, by matching the levels of the pattern with key periods in history, they determined it would fit best if the end of the time scale was December 22, 2012. This is the only point in which the level of novelty reaches its maximum, and everything that happens is new.
Bible Code
The Bible code, also known as the Torah code, is a series of messages alleged to exist within the Bible text, that when decoded form words and phrases supposedly demonstrating foreknowledge and prophecy.
An early seeker of divinely encrypted messages was Isaac Newton, who, according to John Maynard Keynes, believed that "the universe is a cryptogram set by the Almighty", and in the structure of the universe. The 13th-century Spanish Rabbi Bachya ben Asher may have been the first to describe an ELS in the Bible. His 4-letter example related to the traditional zero-point of the Hebrew calendar. many examples were found by the Slovak Rabbi Michael Ber Weissmandl and published by his students after his death in 1957. Nevertheless, the practice remained known only to a few until the early 1980s, when some discoveries of an Israeli school teacher Avraham Oren came to the attention of the mathematician Eliyahu Rips at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Rips then took up the study together with his religious studies partners Doron Witztum and Alexander Rotenberg, and several others. Rips and Witztum designed computer software for the ELS technique and subsequently found many examples...
About 1985, they decided to carry out a formal test, and the "Great rabbis experiment" was born. The experiment succeeded in finding sequences which fit these definitions, and they were interpreted as indicating the phenomenon was real. The primary method by which purportedly meaningful messages have been extracted is the Equidistant Letter Sequence (ELS). To obtain an ELS from a text, choose a starting point (in principle, any letter) and a skip number, also freely and possibly negative. Then, beginning at the starting point, select letters from the text at equal spacing as given by the skip number.
Nostradamus
In 1994, at the Italian National Library in Rome, Italian journalist Enza Massa was conducting research on old texts when she stumbled upon an unusual find ...A mysterious manuscript dating back to 1629.
The name of the book was NOSTRADAMUS VATINICIA CODE and on the inside of the book was the name of the author in indelible ink "Michel de Notredame" the prophet Nostradamus. This find was particularly remarkable because the manuscript included over eighty watercolor illustrations that were believed to be painted by the master prophet himself.
Quote:
"The year of the great seventh number accomplished,
It will appear at the time of the games of slaughter:
Not far from the great millennial age,
When the buried will go out from their tombs."
Contained in the pages of the book are cryptic, bizarre images that some say are prophecies of our future. Letters, symbolic objects, banners, candles, crosses, and even a burning tower are all included in the manuscript which was hidden for over 400 years. Some of the paintings reveal new prophecies, while others are eithergenerally indecipherable or linked to earlier quatrains, but not indicated. Among the paintings are a Pope with the body of a dog, female priests, clergymen being attacked and a black-skinned pope.

Technology
The progess of technology in the late 20th century has allowed us to make more accurate predictions for the future by creating methods to decode past predictions (like the Bible Code) by using mathematical formulas at increased speeds not available to humans before this time. Two new computer programs at the forefront of accurately predicting the future and setting the End date at 2012 are the Web Bot Project and the mathematical tools created by Bruce Bueno de Mesquita, also referred to by some as the 'New Nostradamus'.
The Web Bot Project's concept is aimed at tapping into the "collective unconscious" of the universe and it's inhabitants. As well, there is an interesting time concept involved and an unusual concept of a "tipping point" regarding the past, current, and future. The technology uses a system of spiders to crawl the Internet and search for keywords, much like a search engine does. When a keyword is located, the bot program takes a snapshot of the text preceding and following the keyword and is sent to a central location where it is then filtered to define meaning. In June of 2001 the program predicted that a life altering event would take place within the next 60-90 days. Regrettably, the bot program's prediction proved accurate when the Twin Towers fell on 9/11/2001.
While Nostradamus looked to the stars and mysticism to divine his apocalyptic revelations, Dr. Bruce Bueno de Mesquita, a renowned political scientist who teaches game theory at New York University and Stanford, relies on the most omnipotent tool ever designed by man to predict future events: the computer. The professor says that a computer model he built and has perfected over the last 25 years can predict the outcome of virtually any international conflict, provided the basic input is accurate and his predictions are alarmingly specific
Science
New scientific discoveries during this century point to some disturbing events in our solar system and on the planet earth in the year 2012 that coincide with predictions made for that year by past prophets. Some of these are: solar storms, polar shift and a possible asteroid headed our way in January 2012.
According to a NASA report dated February 15, 2001, the Sun's magnetic poles will remain as they are now, with the north magnetic pole pointing through the Sun's southern hemisphere, until the year 2012 when they will reverse again. This transition happens, as far as we know, at the peak of every 11-year sunspot cycle -- like clockwork. Earth’s magnetic field also flips, but with less regularity. Consecutive reversals are spaced 5 thousand years to 50 million years apart. The last reversal happened 740,000 years ago. Some researchers think our planet is overdue for another one.
On January 31, 2012 Eros is expected to pass Earth at 0.179 astronomical units (16.6 million miles), about 70 times the distance to the moon. Eros was one of the first asteroids to be visited by a spacecraft, and the first to be orbited and soft-landed on. NASA spacecraft NEAR Shoemaker entered orbit around Eros in 2000, and came to rest on its surface in 2001.
