Things to Come (1936)
A story of 100 years: a decades-long second world war leaves plague and anarchy, then a rational state rebuilds civilization and tries space travel.
A British science fiction film produced by Alexander Korda and directed by William Cameron Menzies. The screenplay was written by H. G. Wells and is a loose adaptation of his own 1933 novel The Shape of Things to Come and his 1931 non-fiction work, The Work, Wealth and Happiness of Mankind. The film stars Raymond Massey, Ralph Richardson, Cedric Hardwicke, Pearl Argyle and Margaretta Scott.

The Stepford Wives (1975)
In a small suburb where the women happily go about their housework - cleaning, doing laundry, and cooking gourmet meals - to please their husbands, Bobbie and Joanna discover that the village's wives have been replaced with robots, and Joanna'a husband wants in on the action. Directed by Bryan Forbes. With Katharine Ross, Paula Prentiss, Peter Masterson.
Godzilla (1954)
An ancient beast roused from the ocean depths and irradiated by Japanese H-bomb tests, reduces Tokyo to a pile of ash. Directed and co-written by Ishiro Honda with special effects by Eiji Tsuburaya. It was the first of many "giant monster" movies (known as kaiju) to be produced in Japan.
Dawn of the Dead (1978)
Second film made in Romero's Living Dead series, but contains no characters or settings from its predecessor, and shows in larger scale a zombie epidemic's apocalyptic effects on society. With David Emge, Ken Foree, Scott H. Reiniger and Gaylen Ross as survivors of the outbreak who barricade themselves inside a suburban shopping mall. Directed by George Romero.
Fahrenheit 451 (1966)
In a dark futuristic world, literature, reading, and independent thought have been outlawed. The government has gone so far as to employ a special league of firemen to burn all books on sight. But when one otherwise obedient fireman meets an intriguing revolutionary, she provokes him to question the legitimacy of his actions. The film, directed by Francois Truffaut, is based on the classic 1953 novel by Ray Bradbury. With Oskar Werner, Julie Christie and Cyril Cusack.
The Wizard of Oz (1939)
After a tornado whisks Kansas farm girl Dorothy Gale to a magical land, she must travel with her new weird friends to the Emerald City to see the Wizard so she can get back home. This classic musical was directed by Victor Fleming. With Judy Garland, Frank Morgan, Ray Bolger.
Twilight Zone: The Movie (1983)
Four tales include a bigot, oldsters who find youth in playing kick the can, a misunderstood boy, and a terrified man on a plane. Vic Morrow's last movie after he was decapitated along with 2 children by a helicopter blade during the filmimg of this movie. Produced by Steven Spielberg as a theatrical version of The Twilight Zone, a 60s TV series created by Rod Sterling. Directed by Joe Dante, John Landis. With Dan Aykroyd, Albert Brooks, Vic Morrow, Doug McGrath.
